Description:
Like the UTAX and the Trail Serra da Lousã, the Trail do Xisto also starts in Miranda do Corvo, in the Square José Falcão, where will be installed all the logistic center of the race. The route is circular, with 22 km distance and 1100 meters of total climb.
The start of the race takes place on the same tracks of the greatest proofs, UTAX and TSL, and the first village to be visited is Gondramaz, allowing athletes enjoy a beautiful single-track, although hard and technical, in the first half of the race. This village is the highest point of the race. Then the route descends to the abandoned village of Cadaval and the sanctuary of Piedade de Tábuas, returning to join first to the TSL and later to the UTAX, already in Vila Nova, for together run the last 7 kilometers to the finish line in Miranda do Corvo.
